The game I'm making is a sequel to a mildly juvenile Doom mod I made in high school (since I learned doom modding through it it makes sense to learn Godot via the sequel lol). The guns are penises. With the CURRENT HAPPENINGS I've made a creative decision

This is the best commit of my life (i had 2 typos in my animation tree). Enemy AI and weapons are at a solid foundation now that they are split into parent classes. Guess it's time to work on some of the game part ;) (ft my golden debug gun)

Development is fun cause you will finally fix the bug that's been plaguing you for a week just to cause another one...which you immediately decide "well that's an unlockable feature"

you ever get sidetracked adding a feature that isn't critical but you REALLY want anyway here is some crude gibbing. I have a collision box for the enemy, once they die it summons another collision box that only weapons can hit, once it takes x damage spawn gibs

First week in Godot. I got:
Weapon switching, a shotgun with spread, enemies that alert when shot or they see you, working pickups, oh the enemies also attack.

I gotta get an AOE alert thing down (shoot in the area near enemies and they alert) but that'll come when that comes.
