by claiming it's "just a number" you're either being ingenuous or dishonest, which i hope is the former, as such claim detracts from the whole discussion that happens regarding the new update cycle, either you liking it or not.

that's not to say that the seasonal format doesn't have benefits, drops give fresh little treats for the players and gives new functionalities to developers more often - although, it's quantity over quality, and the playerbase is begging for the opposite, less bloat and more substance.

this is a really dumb take because it ignores the core issue: the problem is what the number represents - seasonal content that ages super quickly paired with each update breaking mod development cycles way too often, leaving a lot of mods stuck in older versions.
