I have been wanting to become a parliamentarian in order to represent those who have been underrepresented for decades in the Japanese politics, especially younger generations, women, and LGBTQ+ community.

It’s on the political participation of young people in Japan and especially on the fact that those under 25 or 30 years old are not allowed to become a candidate in Japanese elections by law, which many young activists and myself are calling to change.

I’ve always wanted a podcast which allows me to absorb knowledge from the very basics. Hopefully the one that doesn’t need me a dictionary.

Most of the existing podcasts in politics or international affairs feature the world’s renowned journalists or scholars, talking in very professional language full of words and concepts that I don’t know, which makes it very hard to continue listening to.

For the past few years, I’ve looked for a podcast that covers fundamental topics in politics and international relations including world economy and globalisation but never found a perfect one.
