Public health professionals will explain the importance of the CDC’s work in prevention and what the layoffs could mean for public health. Finally, we will appeal to our elected leaders to stand up for Georgians and protect us from haphazard and reckless decision making at the federal level.

Join Rep. Saira Draper and other elected officials this Friday at 10 am for a press conference on the impact of the CDC layoffs.

I don’t deny that there can be errors in voter registration records. Sometimes when the records are updated, typos and such are made— through no fault of the voter.

Not only should a typo not render the voter ineligible, voter challenge process is NOT the place to make the fix
November 18, 2024 at 7:49 PM
Think about how many voters share the same first and last name. You shouldn’t be denied your right to vote because some crockpot runs an application that is unable to differentiate between one John Smith and another.

Tools like eagle ai that don’t have access to the detailed Personal data, like full dob, ssn, etc are going to have more false positives— and that should be weighed with the harm that is trying to be prevented.

What’s the harm? Well they assert voter fraud. But w/o proof.
November 18, 2024 at 7:48 PM
2) there seems to be lack of appreciation (or care?) that false positives— flagging voters for removal who are actually eligible to vote— have negative consequences. It places burdens on the voter and the country, chills voter participation.
November 18, 2024 at 7:48 PM
We’ve been discussing Eagle Ai for almost two hours now. There’s been lots of commentary from the board and the audience. Certain red flags are emerging.

1) several comments have described ERIC as insufficient or worse. Will there be an effort to pull Georgia from ERIC?
November 18, 2024 at 7:48 PM
Question time. board member Sara Ghazal questions his assertion that the data from Eagle AI is just as good as what’s in ERIC.

He admits that he doesn’t have access to full DOB, full SSN, and ga Driver license info.

So that was wild y’all. This dude got over 30 minutes to spew his misinformation.

He totally lacks understanding of the NVRA— which places limitations on whether and how certain names can be removed from the voter rolls.

‘Tis me
November 18, 2024 at 7:47 PM
Oh boy!! He is talking about me!

He’s putting my quotes from the last meeting where I spoke against voter challenges up on the screen!
November 18, 2024 at 7:46 PM
Now, Dr. Richards, the creator of Eagle AI, has been given the opportunity to speak on voter challenges.

Incredible that he should get this platform, but other folks who have knowledge on this topic don’t.

The SEB considers a pair of rules by L Frazier that would make additional lists of electors and voters available to the public.

After getting slapped around by the courts for approving rules beyond their authority, the Seb votes to recommend this action to the legislature.
November 18, 2024 at 4:00 PM
One thing I haven’t seen a lot of is a call for hand marked paper ballots.

That was the original battle cry, but there is a shift now toward using voter challenges to purge voters from the rolls and obtaining more election data prior to certification.
November 18, 2024 at 3:48 PM
The problem with using bad data, like data from eagle AI, is it removes eligible voters from the rolls.

To many on the other side, that’s a feature not a bug.
November 18, 2024 at 3:31 PM
Apparently I’ve been living rent free in some of these guys’ heads ever since I said voter challenges need to balance accuracy *and voter access* at the last seb meeting.

Several are calling me out by name.
November 18, 2024 at 3:31 PM
Public comments offer insight into the issues the election denier camp will pursue.

Some folks have brought up voter challenges, and are advocating for the use of eagle Ai to “clean the rolls”

They falsely claim eagle Ai uses the same data as ERIC.
