I'm getting some reps in at the moment. If you're going to write, you need to write.

This time, I'm talking about Bickford Brewing.

Today I learned the @wsetglobal.bsky.social head office is less close to the Bermondsey Beer Mile than I thought.

And is a block from the Royal Oak.

I wonder if they need any ad hoc Canadian admin staff. I could go for a salt beef sandwich and a pint of Harvey's.

I don't know who you are, but i do know that Christmas Eve has a very particular set of skills.

If you return Bing Crosby, that'll be an end of it.

But Christmas Eve WILL find you, where the love light gleams. And Christmas Eve will kill you, and not just in your dreams.

Hey @ttcalerts.bsky.social do you think you could maybe have the streetcar drivers on king announce why it is slow as molasses and we are all stuck in traffic?

Or should we be held hostage in 30 foot increments of progress for a half hour without even knowing why?

@ttcalerts.bsky.social train 147 has had a gentleman defecate in a tent while in transit.

It is like the horse barn at the royal winter fair in terms of pervasiveness and breadth of aroma.

Probably give that a scrub, yeah?

And get him to stop eating cereal while amidshits.

JSJ Banter, to guests:

Florie: What sort of Canadian things should I take home?

JSJ: Syrup?

Florie: No, like clothing.

JSJ: Oh you'll want to go to Roots.

Florie: What's that?

JSJ: Hmmm. If you can picture the type of leisure wear Bryn Mawr students would wear, but Canadian.

Florie: Got it.

Man walking up Yonge Street north of Summerhill on the opposite side: *Sounds Trumpet Charge using only the syllable "da"*

JSJ, shouting across Yonge: CHARGE!

Man: That's from Apocalypse Now!

JSJ: No it isn't!

Thinking loosely and not for the first time that I would rather be at U Zlateho Tigra.

Bit of palavering, yeah?

It would be a lot easier to feel sad about Rogue brewing if they weren't the definition of Shark Jump.

Voodoo donut Sriracha brewers beard yeast beer and a lame attempt to patent their own ingredients didn't equate to success.

Also, treated their people badly.

Guess they're a Dead Guy.

Unpaid content? In 2025? Well, I needed to get some reps in. You know how it is.

This is part five in a series about the rules beer seems to abide by. It mentions La Courtepointe, True History Brewing, and The Imperial Pub.

I was talkin' to Dougal about it and he's excited as I've seen him. And he's a rugby player. And I've seen him after some whiskey.
'Innis & Gunn acquired the original recipe from the Allsopp family, meaning it can accurately recreate the ale.'

So, no they didn't need open it for that reason. Also, no, it won't taste the same - unless they have a time machine or are prepared to wait another 150 years ...

I'm delighted to report that although I had some trepidation based on early reviews, the TV version of Time Bandits is actually really good.

I might have gotten to it eventually, but thanks to @robinfromwork.bsky.social for kicking me in the general direction.

Also, Ross Noble!

A not insignificant portion of my thought process on going to the Ontario Craft Brewers Conference this year is so that I can get either a Banh Mi Hue or Viva La Pita order in for the return trip.

That shawarma place looked pretty good from the bus stop last year.
