I spent a lot of my life being told the same, but in my professional career, people have worn my art, my designs sit on the sides of buildings. That's somewhere. I bought some of your prints, and they will hang in my office, because they're that good. At the very least it's somewhere.

I use Liquitex Matte Varnish, its not completely ultra-matte, but I used it recently to dull the ever loving shit out of some metallics (pro-acryl silver with a phthalocyanine blue oil wash) I sprayed over and it killed the shine to a point I felt I didn't have to do two coats .

Hell yes, that entire drop from Artisan Guild is one of my absolute favorites. These look really good and clean!
