It took my brain several tries to grab onto the 1st book and pay attention, but the second it finally did, I restarted & it really held my attention. I thoroughly enjoyed it, esp. the narrative of character growth!

And now I'm so so so going to zone out to these books while swimming for physical therapy this month! Wish me luck with it not being too cold to swim if you actually read this far!

I was crying on the way down, and had to resist the urge to tell the other visitors to #TheGoonies House that it was the sun, I wasn't being emotional about my visit.

I am far overdue for a good cry. 😭 Maybe I should have gone with it.

Help? Why would a local bookstore (that's literally got multicultural in the name) tell me to order this book from Amazon and then not reply to me again?

What am I missing?

This feels like every social interaction that's ever gone wrong, but I have no clue why. ♾️😰
Two emails, both dated September 3, the first from Carol at the bookstore. In response to a question I'd sent, asking to pre-order a book, and whether I needed to come in for that. The email says: "Thank you for reaching out to the Multicultural Bookstore Las Vegas in search of Queer As Folklore by Sacha Coward Here is where you can order the book: 1. Amazon @$45.99 2. Thriftbooks.com @$34.60 3. AbeBooks.com @$33.60 4. FishPond.com / shipping from Australia (10/1 & 10/8) $21.58 From my main 2 sources, this book is currently out of stock! Hope this helps!" My reply at the bottom says: "I'm confused. Are you unable to order order this book because it's out of stock, or do you not take book orders at all?"

They're SO FUCKING GOOD! And I ate enough, but even this is only tempting for a few bites. Probably low iron, which this will help fix, though.
Gourmet Nachos from Nacho Daddy, a small chain originating (I think) in Las Vegas. There are lightly grilled fresh veggies that held crunch, as did the chips, for the 20 minute drive! This is the fajitas version, which is made with filet mignon. It's in a triangle shaped cardboard box, and there's a, uh, fuck ton of food.
