🌿 Is political activism enough? 🌿

The #climate movement demands action from others, especially governments, but without personal conversion, little changes.

As #Catholics, we know the root of ecological destruction is sin. The remedy? Conversion of the heart and the saving love of Jesus Christ.

🌿 Blessed Jolenta of Poland 🌿

🌎 Science gave us the means to harm the climate.
To develop unsustainable energy.
To pollute, overconsume, and haphazardly develop.
To destroy landscapes and erase biodiversity.

So I say: don’t follow the science. Not by itself.

We need science guided by wisdom, ethics, and LOVE. 💚

We often treat conservation like it’s only technical work.
But if we want to heal the Earth, we need to ask how and why we work.

Environmental problems are social, cultural, and spiritual.
Conservation careers should be too.

🌿 "We must move from words to action, from dominion to reciprocity—with one another and with the natural world."
—Bishop Robert Francis Prevost (now #PopeLeoXIV)

Bishop Prevost rejected a tyrannical domination that only controls and exploits nature to embrace care for all creation. #Catholic

🕊️As the Church chooses a new pope, we pray for wisdom, humility & holiness to guide the conclave.

May he carry forward the spirit of Saint Francis and Saint Kateri: love for God, for each other, for people who are poor, sick, or marginalized, and for all creation.

🌿 Sometimes, the work of caring for creation feels hidden.

Planting a native flower. Saying a quiet prayer for our neighbors and the land. Walking gently through the woods.

Today, we offer even the smallest seeds to God, trusting He will make them bloom. 🌸
