What do dates look like for us? It’s two hours in a coffee shop playing board games while we wait to go get our kiddo. Also, Brad has won LoTR Duel four times and me… once. 😅 I love the game though.
We have found with Jekyll and Hyde that whoever is Jekyll loses in the second round so far.

We got The Fuzzies from our FLGS the other month and just yesterday we were finally able to get it to the table. It was a huge hit! Thanks @shutupshow.bsky.social for the recommendation. Finally found a game our 6 year old actually laughs about when we lose!

Yesterday, we played some games with Jaina that she recently got for her birthday: Hammer Time, IQ Puzzler, Bluey The Creek Pop Around Game, and Mario Guess Who. We have a couple more to try soon with her and can’t wait. We love playing with our kiddo.

We were able to get a game in today of Deep Regrets by @tettix.bsky.social and had a lot of fun playing. Brad went the route of sane fisher-person and well, Berp and I went full on madness. Madness won 😂 🎣🐙

Brad is sick and has felt miserable but he worked so hard to make my Mother’s Day weekend special, despite me telling him to just rest. I felt so appreciated and loved. I also was over the moon 🌙 to unwrap this yesterday as one of my presents. 🎁

Brad asked me what I wanted to do this weekend for Mother’s Day. Top of my list was to take some time today for a quick day trip to West Chester and my favorite FLGS The Games Keep for some new board games.

Brad was so excited when he found Cryo for sale for $15 at our FLGS. We finally got it to the table yesterday. A close game but Brad was victorious. ☄️🪐💎

After a week of not getting a game to the table, we finally were able to play two today with a friend. Jess’s beginner luck kicked in since she hadn’t played either Castles of Burgundy or Wandering Towers before and won both games.

It’s National Puppy Day and now that she is one not sure if our Cindy Lou still qualifies as a puppy but she will always be a puppy to me. 🐶

Strange things have happened since we moved to NJ but the one I love the most is our leprechaun that visits us every March. Jaina and Greedy Sugar (her name for them) go back and forth with her trying to trap them and GS causing mischief. They left her this letter and some chocolate coins today.

We were supposed to do yard work today but the weather decided not to cooperate so instead some Crossbows and Catapults and a spring grooming appointment.

We got our second game of Imperium Classic from @ospreygames.bsky.social in last night. Jess chose to play the Celts again, choosing Side A this time & Brad was the Vikings. If you love civ builders and haven’t checked this one out yet, you are missing out because it has quickly become a favorite.
