In this talk, two scholar-practitioners of Judaism and Islam will illuminate each tradition’s profound expressions of the love divine. Join us as we tell a shared Jewish-Muslim love story - that we hope inspire renewed relationships today.

Jews and Muslims share rich traditions of love poetry; in intense, often erotic language, poets and lovers have expressed desire and longing for other humans and even God. These traditions did not emerge separately, but in intimate dialogue over centuries of cultural exchange.
