It is ego that prevents one from accepting truths that counter his formulation. Man must fail miserably before he learns a lesson, and he does not know what he has until it is gone. Luther was rebuked for proving Catholicism false! And how many were beheaded for suggesting that the world is round?

When man's default is disbelief, it is a wonder he is able to market religion to the masses. And when a void becomes his god, he has ego for a master and nothing more.

Like praising cake in lieu of millet is honouring tradition without acknowledging the source. Thus, fundamentalism is born of man's ego rather than the root of creation.

Free thought is not financially rewarded. Monetization does stifle creativity, though it may offer elbow room to those who are willing to be contained by a sponsor. Reality is outsold by fiction. The messenger will be denied by most individuals, if the content does not conform to a mass narrative.
