The war didn't start with the invasion, it started in 2014 with Western-backed color revolution overthrowing a legitimate president just because he was on Russian side. The US started it, that's literally just a fact. Russia simply escalated, because it literally cannot allow USA influence sharing a direct major border with it. Russia is still an imperial, capitalist power, don't get me wrong, but claiming that Russia is this titan invading a tiny smol bean country is disgusting and ignorant, and justifying erasure of Russian culture and xenophobia by perverting already existing media created mostly by Russians just because "hurr durr they were invaded" is straight up fascist apologia. No, this isn't a valid artistic choice to make. Completely shitting all over the original trilogy by removing things related to USSR and post-Soviet culture is a direct spit in the face of the original developers (who were, mind you, mostly Russian) and post-Soviet/Slavic culture as a whole. I don't care about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Dogshit game anyway, they can do whatever they want with it. It just proves it was a sequel for the sake of a sequel made by people who don't deserve S.T.A. .R. in the first place. Putting their greasy, sucked-on fingers into the original trilogy and perverting it with their nazi ideology is where I draw the line. Reply
