I just had a dream last night that I ended up meeting my celebrity crush. It was a very awkward meeting, emphasized by the language barrier between us, but somehow we ended up sharing contacts regardless. It feels kind of strange, being so devoted to someone that I can only interact with in dreams.

Does anyone else get mixed feelings when a person claims that criticism of their behavior must be bigoted? Like a dude with a very negative attitude claiming people are racist for calling him out for his harsh behavior? How does one make it clear that the issues have nothing to do with identity?

Man… I wish I could just sleep the whole election away and pretend this is all a bad dream… Or maybe I should look into emergency travel plans to live in another country.

Having a celebrity or idol crush feels so strange. Like, the very thought of them brings me great joy, but they likely don’t know who I am. I feel like I love them, but it’s more like I love the idea of them, not the actual person. It feels like I’m viewing a real person like a fictional character.
