Once the health care is gone we won't get it back in less than three years. That is plenty of time to bankrupt many Americans and close hospitals (especially rural ones). This is a crisis of Trump's making. Don't bail him out.

Right - because Russia is such a great example of honest elections.

This is also the man who has numerous bankruptcies and failed businesses.

Is Roosevelt rolling in his grave? His social programs got us out of the Depression. WW2 solidified it with the increase manufacturing.

Thank-you Democratic reps for having an united vote. Please start documenting the damage that occurs in your districts; hospitals and nursing homes closed, increase in hunger, health related bankruptcy, and the other tragedies that are going to occur. Give this damage a personal face.

Brilliant representation. Reminds me of the body outlines during the Vietnam war protests.

It will be affected by the damage done to the whole. Her citizens move back and forth, they have relatives in the other states, and impacts to our rights will affect Alaska too. This is a tragic decision on her part. And as a 'nasty' and outspoken women, she still won't win points with Trump.

Even as a Democrat, I've respected Murkowski for years. She has often taken hard stands against poor leadership. Wish she'd stayed firm and voted against this travesty. Alaska doesn't share a border with other states but it is not independent.

And most likely those emergency rooms will cease to exist. The people kicked off Medicaid will not have the money to pay the high ER bills. Hospitals will close.

People with health care thru their employers will also be affected because many rural or small hospitals cannot stay in business without the support of the medicaid system. Vote the Republicans out - they'll get over it.
June 30, 2025 at 7:05 PM
I sincerely hope every person who loses health insurance or is affected by the medicaid cuts, votes Democratic in ongoing elections. People being cared for in nursing homes will be affected. Pregnacies will be endangered due to lack of birthing centers and prenatal care.

Really - he would have been a better president than Lincoln? The Lincoln memorial should rise up in protest.

Some counties and cities had put protection into place for workers; for example provided shade and water. However, the State of Texas jumped in and said that was illegal. The State isn't providing relief and is prohibiting local jurisdicitions from doing so. Heat kills.
