Today in lecture Wagner talked about privacy, I think that there is a fine line between an invasion of privacey and an algorithem that is tailored to us. What do you think? where should we draw the line and stop sharing our personal information with cite databases? #UWJ201

Today in class we talked about deplatforming, which to me i very simmilar to cancel cultue. Both involve removing someones acess to communication on a large scale. Well now im thinking...How do we decide who deserves the privilege of a platform, and who gets that privilege taken away? #UWJ201 #314

In class, Prof. Wagner talked about observational correction and direct correction. I think that with the right approach, direct correction could become a powerful tool for promoting accurate news and breaking down fake news and echo chambers. What do you think? #UWJ201

Today, professor Wagner talked about conspiracy theories. I think they are detrimental to the pool of knowledge that circulates on the web. I am thinking specifically of QAnon and how off-base and uneducated its claims can be. What do you think about these organizations#UWJ201

Regarding our reading on positive psychology, I think the article overlooked the concept of manifestation. I strongly believe that manifestation and the practice of it are very successful in cultivating a desired future. I hope to see more research in this area. What do you think? #UWJ201

In the reading The good life the quote "Socrates answers that the good life doesn’t refer to a person’s reputation but to the state of a person’s soul." I love this because it is so true. The good life can only be defined by the person living it or not living it. Good is subjective. #UWJ201

Last class, we learned that young people mainly rely on TikTok and Instagram as "search engines." I'm really worried about those who use platforms like these as reliable news sources. What can we do to make sure younger people are educating themselves using trustworthy platforms?

Professor Wagner mentioned that TV plays a huge role in our behavior. For example, violence increases with more TV exposure. I wonder if we can not only decrease the violence and harmful effects of TV but also enhance the positive effects, making people kinder and more understanding. #UWJ201

I just read the article "How to Get Facebook Ads Working for You." I think it's not black and white. There shouldn't be a debate between no data collection and full data collection. The user should be able to choose how much or how little they are analyzed for commercial purposes. #UWJ201

After reading "What Makes Wisconsin Swing," I realize that biased news can be consumable as long as it is balanced with the extreme news from the other side. We can’t ignore extremism, so we must match it. It's important to see both sides of the scale to fully understand the perspectives#UWJ201 #314

Professor Wangnor introduced "the Fox News effect," where businesses can artificially buy larger audiences. At the same time we see Meta and Tesla have gotten increasingly closer with the Trump administration. These relationships although casual should also be regulated aswell. #UWJ201
