Understand history to stay on the right side of it. I've worked in justice & homelessness. A lifetime ago I studied American Studies. Always curious. No dms, grifts etc. 🇳🇿
"Hey USA, have you tried turning yourself off & back on again?"
I guess this is progress.

We don't have Hummingbirds in New Zealand. You're very lucky to have that experience.
At certain times of year silver eye and fantail (piwakawaka) come down from alpine forest to feed in our gardens on insects, fruit and fat. The fantails are cheeky and fearless.

I grew a kumara (sweet potato) in my kitchen this summer as I like the leaf shape and they don't grow outside in my climate. It's autumn and no signs of wilting. 🌱

#proofofcat Tiny visitor at our house this weekend. A mini version of our 18 1/2 year old girl we farewelled last year.

In other news, I have 23 monarch butterfly chrysalis prepping for flight. It's 1 month 'till they hibernate in our hemisphere which they do locally, rather than migrating. If you look up at the evergreen trees in our public markets you might see thousands of monarchs roosting over winter. #butterfly
