7. CrossCode! If I can make any recommendations for indies folks may have not played, it's this one. Rare to see an action RPG with a control scheme like this one and a really interesting story. Insert a couple Zelda-like dungeons, intense fights, and some fun sidequests and you get a good time!

6. Paper Mario. Specifically the N64 one comes to mind (TTYD and Super are both really great too). The N64 one just has a really special place in my heart because it's just a fun, whimsical adventure that elicits very nostalgic feel.

5. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. I'll never forget riding in my mom's car when I was a kid and reading a kid's magazine article on the Rescue Team games when those were coming out. Then getting the opportunity to play the games when I was in 8th-9th grade. Only to later finally fully play Sky.

Okami. An immensely special game to me since it is where I really learned art style is key in games. In a time when the realistic shooter was all the craze. A great story, and just generally being excited for the new entry as well!

I learned of a neat site that lets you generate custom Dialouge Boxes. Such as making these Kirby Adventure flavor texts using Copy Abilities from later games!
