• I still couldn’t get the eyes even. One is set a fraction too high.
• I added an extra row to the comb, which I’m pleased with. I also widened the bottom of the wattle.
• I made the underbelly in one piece, so that the colour flow wasn’t interrupted.

•I used only one ‘colour’ - no contrast yarn for stripes, etc. I even used the same yarn for the beak, comb and wattle.
• I slip stitched the seams, which, although tedious to do, looks better than the single crochet joins.
