I always recommend to my fellow Americans to watch more foreign films and stop whining about “subtitles”…in Europe it’s pretty normal which is why people are more keen learning about ee cultures and languages.

It’s not technically the end of summer, but it was the end-of-summer weekend at the movies.; and I closed it out with Spielberg classics, Jaws on Thu in IMAX, and Close Encounters on Fri in 70mm.
That print was one if not the best 70mm print I had seen…glorious❤️🔥

Right off the bat, great fkng prologue...2mins of black screen with a narration of a kid, which followed by beautiful tracking shots &great sound design...I'm so glad Cregger avoided cliche jumpscares, instead had such an immersive soundtrack mixed so well with the scenes & sfx...
