It's nerve racking trying to hack a LED panel with 0 AC isolation and 300V DC at one point, the lowest voltage in the system is around 70V DC

Now got it working with HomeAssistant and esphome with color temp and brightness control.

Trying out Xe drm driver was fun... Not "boring" sadly. Looks like there's still a lot missing. A bunch of stuff including KDE misbehaves weirdly.
Valoren would only update frames if running in the background, however Minetest worked just fine. And anything with OpenCL just crashed.

Wild! And here I am thinking Windows on Arm is reserved for Qualcomm SOCs and a select few system ready certified hardware.

Now who wants to look at the efi acpi mess this thing has going on 😜
Hello world. This is Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC for Arm, running on NXP iMX8. Next stop, Edge Impulse.

I was looking for my screwdriver for days and finally found it, looks like I pulled a Dr Nick and left it inside my server.

Excited to be working on a mini-itx build finally with a proper mini-itx case, now that these cases are finally appropriately priced.

The only way to not deal with the crap termios is for serial comms in userspace is by using mraa, I hope mraa keeps getting supported.

I didn't realise Harmony OS Next was not Linux. I had a feeling they were moving away from ASOP, but they moved away from Linux as well.
A custom microkernel is an interesting choice.

STOP DOING SPECULATIVE EXECUTION

CPU'S WEREN'T MEANT TO DO TIME TRAVEL

YEARS OF μARCH PATCHES AND YET NO USE FOUND FOR BRANCH PREDICTORS

WANTED A FASTER CORE: WE HAD A TOOL FOR THAT - MOVE CLOCK SPEED

wait, i just heard it makes CPU's faster. ignore all that, and do speculative execution

I've been hunting for this for a while, I finally have Intel's i960, their most successful in-house RISC mcu in hand.

Sometimes I'm amazed how well hardware interface bridges work with backwards compatibility. Here's an m.2 nvme drive over USB working on era appropriate windows 98 box

These 7 inch resistive touch panels are fairly cheap. Bought these as a replacement for a display whose capacitive touch stopped working but i was able to remove the digitiser.
