It was determined the ritual had 1,500 "HP." 400+900+200=1,600. The ritual can be destroyed safely! Or, maybe it had 3,000 "HP" and they're going to need to keep trying. Maybe they can use the same skills again. Maybe they have to use different skills each round.

Y'shtola does /dice 1000 for aetherology and rolls a 400. Alphinaud does /dice 800 for his, but rolls 200. Both describe studying/deciphering the ritual. But Tataru has no such skill. So she compares complex runes to bookkeeping, and rolls /dice 1000 to reflect her high business skill. 900!

Thancred and Urianger are holding off enemies a the door. We understand every "round" that passes, they get to RP their characters becoming more and more wounded from the effort. Meanwhile, Y'shtola, Alphinaud, and Tataru are deciphering a ritual that, when destroyed, will end the threat.
