This is an excellent piece. DEI is about allowing a legitimate examination of a person's merit, rather than stonewalling people of color in favor of white men. And for the record, I am a white man.
A colleague at Stanford’s business school used The Stanford Daily to argue—poorly—against DEI. The piece was riddled with historical errors and left one searching for fact, so I broke my public writing hiatus to respond.

So back in college, I created an eBook as an assignment. It has a couple of short stories, and the beginning of a longer piece. This was back in 2019ish.
Well folks, I just got a ROYALTY PAYMENT! I have officially transitioned from Writer to Author!
