I like that he takes initiative, a real go-getter. Killer outfit too.

Oooh gotta learn about this guy. Reminds me of Machinedramon

They did all attend a trans woman’s wedding even if at least half of them have beef with her villainy

Lots of cool stuff that’s flown under the radar since!

Part of the big failure of post-Krakoa X-Men is they’re literally doing this, but because the current creative teams are spineless neoliberals who can’t condone violent protest we get scenes like the Hellfire Vigil. Dazzler gets taken in front of the whole mutant community but nobody does anything

I’ve been thinking that Gotham’s Morlocks should have this aesthetic too, to really bring it all together

“Should we do something?”

“We should DO something!”

Maybe they’re setting up a crossover?

I will never not be mad about losing Krakoa and the X-Slack, it felt like the future of how these lines are supposed to be run but we had to go back to the old ways. As a wise man once said…

Tbh I think it gets overshadowed by the later years of 16-bit games, but 1991 was still very solid

I love how Cameron gets to be The Last Filmmaker because he makes subpar blockbusters and gets lauded for it, but when he does 4k remasters of his old films with AI it’s crickets from those same people

I like to think Zeta Gundam: Victory Edition is exactly the same as the original Zeta frame for frame, but now every woman dresses like this

At least they gave up trying to call Mary Lady Shazam, and went back to the objectively better Mary Marvel name

In a similar way to how the original Matrix trilogy was inspired by Grant Morrison’s The Invisibles, I think these themes are echoed in fascinating ways in Morrison’s Action Comics run

Maybe he could help The Incredible Hulk Return

Going back to Rom through the omnibus’ and seeing them fully restored has been one of the great backreading joys for me the past year. Buscema is just so ahead of the game in the 70’s

He gets a great showing interacting with Punisher 2099 and classic Frank in Contest of Champions.

Really surprising they never go back to this, like even games like Marvel Heroes 2016 would rather use the Lady Mandarin look than this
April 5, 2025 at 4:13 AM
Wigglytuff lookin’ at you like
March 27, 2025 at 12:57 PM
Wild that’s not really an archetype they’ve used. For a second there I mixed up my universes and thought Justice Peace from Simonson’s Thor was a Flash character. I guess the closest you get is the police robots that chased John Fox to the modern day near the end of Waid?

At this point, I’ve just been waiting for some hacky writer who spends too much time on fan wikis to make a full Goblin Spectrum (of seven colors) and tie it to the Goblin Force

I was going to say, if there was any time to bring this design back it’s for making Jess into a moody teen
February 25, 2025 at 7:07 PM
Wow! $30 for 52 episodes! I’m so surprised!

It is interesting that Thunderbird and Sunfire both got prominent roles in later Krakoa, although Sunfire didn’t amount to much sadly despite being on the main team. Personally I’d love to give him his AoA design as a hyper mode transformation

She only has a handful of appearances, but there’s Birdy from X-Men
