like that is a pretty scary thing for a guy like me but I don’t think it’ll be bad. I also hope my circumstances allow me to get into the groove of that mindset in a way that will let me keep it as a habit rather than easily abandon it for my current comfort again later.

Same feelings as the show for him even with the more substantial screentime, his interactions with Shinji are incredibly heartfelt and heartbreaking by the end. Just incredibly solid movie across the board even if I wish we got more top tier stuff outside of Shinji/Kaworu.

Just a cool reflection of the character as even when he could take action that doesnt change the fundamental issues Shinji has that causes him to make mistakes and it basically addresses the "just get in the damn robot" sentiments people had towards him in the show. Absolutely adore Kaworu as always

love how compelling Shinji is here. Trapped by the past yet still feeling the desire to take action and so anything he can to undo his mistakes even when everyone else is saying not to. Its a stark contrast to how he was in the tv series where he couldnt take action in the end when he needed to.

Was not expecting such a massive timeskip but its really cool as a premise to see how the world has changed after Shinji's decision at the end of 2.0. And while the side characters arent totally fleshed out yet we get good glimpses of who they are now. More importantly though I

Standard MCU flick, its pretty fun and hit me harder than I thought it would. I like Sam, I like Ross, I like Isaiah. Some of the coolest MCU fight scenes. Everything else is neat, nothing outright terrible.
