I have the same set, and it is so difficult to reign in. Great work!
I tried to stick to a simple strategy of using the same colors for light/dark areas. Lit up areas had a lot of indian yellow + white, and dark areas had a lot of prussian blue + black.
I only used 4 colors + black and white, so that helped with cohesion too. (Red, blue, and two yellows)
