I moved to DC a few months before Obama was elected into office. I’ve observed that with every administration there’s a palpable shift. Obama brought joy and hope. What’s about to come… well… no explanation needed. Time to shore up for rising waters. This image catptures it perfectly. Subtly.

Sunday Morning at Joe’s Inn: I’ve been playing with mixed media—watercolor, charcoal, and a touch of pastels, in this case. It’s not quite done, though it’s nice to be close, as I’ve been working on it slowly over the past several weeks.

Hi! I only learned about Bluesky a few days ago… I take that back. I’d been hearing about it for a while, but every time I glimpsed the name, I pronounced it Blue-ski in my head. I just got curious a day or 2 ago… Here’s a painting of my blue sky—er—cat, Blue, for your viewing pleasure.
