If you are not concerned by the proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation because you think it doesn’t impact you, you are wrong.

This is an authoritarian abuse of power by the government & it curtails all of our civil liberties #r4today
On LBC @zoejardiniere.bsky.social lists 3 previous instances where military aircraft have been targeted by campaigners in order to prevent them being used in war crimes, and she describes the govt banning Palestine Action as terrorists as an abuse of state power.

Well said.

“Mass” accommodation sites at places like ex-army bases.
There are not enough facepalms.

Our CEO on why new Home Office immigration stats make it clear people seeking safety here are not the "strangers" the PM claims: "more than two-thirds (68%) of people who applied for asylum ... were from a country that was directly affected by British colonial rule"

The obvious problem with Starmer's 'island of strangers' immigration speech
Far from 'strangers', new statistics show that people seeking safety in the UK have deep roots here, writes Refugee Action's Tim Naor Hilton.

The Prime Minister imitating Enoch Powell’s ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech is sickening.

That speech fuelled decades of racism and division. Echoing it today is a disgrace. It adds to anti-migrant rhetoric that puts lives at risk.

Shame on you, Keir Starmer.

There is a really key point in this interview with Zoe where she's asked why more cruelty won't stop immigration. Her answer is absolutely accurate:

"Why because in these circumstances migration is life" (not doing so being death).

Cruelty is no deterant. It's just cruelty.
Mainstream radio presenters like Vanessa Feltz are perfectly happy to contribute, in their own small way, to the rise of the extreme far right.

Her interview with me on LBC just now was chock full of lies. Calls herself a journalist.
Really I wonder how they sleep at night.

It's amazing how many people, including MPs, don't realise just what Minimum Income Requirements mean, and the impact they have on families. More than half the UK population is basically ineligible to be with a foreign born partner, leaving families ripped apart.

There is a sickness in European culture.

A sickness we have never reconciled. A catch-22 we trap people escaping unimaginable danger in.
And we use them, after they've lost everything, as a lightning rod for our hate.

The fall of Bashar al-Assad is undeniably a moment to celebrate, and that's what today should be about, but, big but, as someone who works in/studies displacements there are things which need to be addressed quickly. 1/

This whole thread ❤️
It is so beautiful, so wonderful, so pure to see the Syrians who we have been so lucky to call our neighbours & friends during their exile speak of return & being reunited ❤️❤️

Syrians across Europe are finally dreaming they will see their home again, a hope so many had lost through the years🙌

Keir Starmer's attempts to mimic the rhetoric of the Reform leader will end as badly for him as it did for his Conservative predecessors
