In fairness, if Hegseth tried asking Gemini to explain who America’s friends and enemies are, it might help a lot. Because he and the Trump administration clearly don’t know that, and on a quick check rn, it seems bang on.

Given the way Reform councillors have been quitting it’s not like they’d have stuck, is it? Was he hoping to get Zia Yusuf a seat so he would go away and stop having to pretend his role in Reform Ltd made sense?

It’s hard to justify criticism of an edit which clearly crystalises what his audience heard and acted on. The fact he made a couple of calls for ‘peaceful’ action in between his exhortations to fight clearly left his audience with a single view of what was expected of them. And it wasn’t peaceful.

Predictable appropriation of reported growing ’nostalgia’ across age groups in the UK, but my nostalgia isn’t the same as the Telegraph’s. I remember the 70s and it was grim - bad food, hand-me-down clothes, holidays at a Blackpool boarding house. It’s the early 2000s and my EU passport that I miss.

Surely since Trump has been, at different times, both a Democrat AND a Republican - and became a reg’d Dem voter in 2001 when his association with Epstein was at its peak - even if that were true, Epstein would still be *his* problem?

Absolutely. Why would anyone choose to assume he’s a racist when in actual fact he might be cross about the fact he’s got the lowest pension in Europe, can’t afford to pay for privatised water and power, his grandkids can’t go to study or work in France, and the Nazis have their own tv channel.
