Honestly despite not being the main focus, I'd argue the Silessian royal family are the most interesting characters in Jugdral just because they are constantly doing so much in the background of both fe4 and fe5. The plot just kinda ends up hinging on them even if they aren't progressing it

Yeah unfortunately there is some dialogue in the game that has not aged well at all, that chief among them. If it is any consolation, they did massively rehaul the dialogue in the remake to get rid of the offensive stuff.

Yeah idk what the writers were doing tbh. Sigurd is a very self righteous and rash individual who did his best to quell his regrets as he went on so his portrayal is very antithetical to that. Seliph would have made a lot of sense and my only guess is that Sigurd is maybe more popular or iconic?

Sigurd is an extremely weird case out of the Emblems where it seems to have taken a version of himself from after Belhalla and then bases his personality about that, whereas all the other lords (generally) behave as they do in their source material

Jugdral games out of nowhere introducing character death throes but having them being characters yelling at the top of their failing lungs is both iconic and certainly a choice of all time

Silesse is genuinely my favourite part of fe4. There's just so much going on in terms of the stakes and with character relations and then the chapter gimmick is just the coolest shit and also the music bangs (Silesse castle town, my beloved)
