That the BBC board couldn't agree a statement in over a week, shows they were either unaware of the importance of being seen not to address the situation in a timely way, in which case they are incompetent, or they were aware and deliberately undermined the BBC.
Both mean they should all be sacked.

The lowest paying jobs should pay for a modest single person lifestyle. Trouble is same wages will not pay for someone to support a family of four, so SNAP (or equivalent) will always be needed.
If lowest single wage paid for family of four, a single person on it would have a life of luxury.
