I could give a crap about them, because they're not a threat to any website. Realistically, most sites shouldn't allow any kind of politics at all.

From what I've seen anyone can become an undesirable due to some unwritten rule or whatever. Like someone not being a good enough believer in a cause, or questioning the status quo.
It becomes a neverending purity cycle that ultimately doesn't help the site grow in a meaningful way.

People did these "block lists" before on Tumblr and the site became worse and overrun by legit sickos.
I thought people would learn from their mistakes and drop this behavior entirely before the inevitable happens here again.

If people had empathy then it would reflect in their posts, but sadly I see a bunch of people who haven't even moved on from their grade school mindset.
Empathetic people don't make massive block lists or engage in targeted harassment for one.

To be honest people here are not much better.
It's been a year already and not much has changed. There's also barely any genuine growth and some openly advocating for harassment of outsiders who don't fit in.
Not very friendly for new people overall.

I'm serious by the way, this place isn't artist friendly and you'll get bombarded by insane political posts you never asked for.

It's no surprise that current shows and movies aren't appealing to the general public is mostly because of that. Sure, you can talk about the corporate side of things, but that's a small part of the problem.
Artists themselves have unfortunately devalued art, and won't create honestly.

But I think people should be a bit more careful if they change their rules due to a controversy like Tumblr did, and thus making it less viable for artists.

Speaking from experience, it's probably best to post your art on somewhere like Newgrounds since it's the most reliable art gallery on the internet. It's also the most artist friendly place I know.
