The story unfortunately was always poorly handled. Instead of being something they intentionally put in the forefront they continued to play it behind the scenes and drip it to us for character releases to get people emotionally invested in that character. I get the world they wanted to build but…

Unfortunately making so many modes is the result of the main game mode becoming so insufferable to play due to the community thinking they’re all top100 players and no one actually plays OBJ. Sadly live service shooters just churn out new maps and call it content so I’m not surprised how there are.

I haven’t played in over a year so I cant speak for colosseum mode or whatever it is that they threw the remnants of the PvE skill system at for a PVP system and called it a day but the game systematically walked back on everything OW1 stood for not the sake of money.

I’d say that’s less to do with those changes (and I assure you those are valid things to say) and more that OW2 time and time again has been a reminder of poor choice after poor choice and constant breaking promises for the game that really should have been the sequel we all deserved.

Generally speaking nothing makes it to the drafts. I usually say it to myself and then feel like it’s not worth the follow up. Sometimes I do wish I had more courage to speak my mind.
