hundred percented both and can wholeheartedly recommend both from story to art to direction, they're bleak in a very personal, longing way.

I will say that some of the exploration routing is a little sadistic, but that was its worst sin. Difficulty is wholly customizable, which was great.

It's pretty normal when you've had the same 'sona for a long while to outgrow certain aspects or expressions.

Anecdotally, you shouldn't be afraid to let your creations grow and change with you. Rebrand fears will pass, and if it reignites a drive, it'll reflect positively in your work.

I'm genuinely planning to buy the physical book if you self-publish again, even to the point I may not read publicly posted chapters until that point.

bridging that gap only really happens if you make it happen or get socially adopted. Guesstimating how people mesh is its own miserable puzzle, though.

many such cases of 'oh no, I can't be obedient anymore!' ruthlessly corrected by a little rope or chained leather.

I pitched up until the dysphoria stopped and let it be, personally.

Your own voice will always sound different to you than it does everyone else, and 'dusky femme voice' is always good.

...guilty of also eagerly looking forward to Amynta becoming way worse at no fault of her own.

With the line dropped at the end it was bound to happen. Helps that Amynta was a 'I have basic morals' grounded character, which is... well... corruption bait in a story like this, tbh.

You are an artist who pretty much always strikes some kind of chord and gets a repost in my little cozy circle.

Great thread.~ Definitely tied together some ideas I've been floating in my own writing, and clearly answers why that fear of being instrumentalized, having the primal self (the one most of us enshrine) be misused, retooled, and dependent, feels particularly chilling and resonant.

I may have given you too much power. I luv herrr ;;

That's super valid, but personally it's like, very specific satisfaction to see the OC most dear to me, through all the iterations and lorebuilding and such.

There's been enough changes to her that it's way different from the old design too.
