Nonviolence and absurdity being used to highlight the violence of the oppressor is, has, and always will be a valid and effective strategy for garnering support for the movement, double if it’s disruptive to oppressive operations. Ice is not conducting arrests in Portland I don’t know how many more times I can explain this to you before the only thing left to assume is you are hollowed out the fucking head. The building is an auxiliary facility, not a detention facility. They are blocking access to try and get it closed.

I’m running out of ways to explain this to you that aren’t just baby words for a wittle baby. Please reread what I said, sit and think about it critically and calmly, and then apologize.

To say that they are not helping because their nonviolent protest that is preventing Ice action in Portland is not preventing ice action in, say, L.A. or Chicago or Sacramento, is disingenuous and also harmful. Do you understand now, or will you continue being a sealioning asshole?

These nonviolent methods are preventing Ice from operating in Portland. Just because violent methods are required to resist Ice in Chicago does not mean that the nonviolent methods being used in Portland are not working. Resisting Ice in Portland will not have an effect on ice operations elsewhere.

I’m going to explain this as plainly as I can. There is one Ice facility in Portland. It is there illegally as Ice is barred by law from operating there. Protestors are preventing its operation by blocking exit and entry. Because there has not been an escalation of violence, methods are nonviolent.
