This obsession of mine is miserable, this series has made me NOT ok and I wouldn't have it any other way, if you see this thread and got something fun out of it like I did thinking too hard on the themes and symbolism, that would make me happy, Welcome to Ave Mujica's world.

People cheering for the guillotine executions? A rat that might be referring to plagues? Corpse faces? 4th image looks to me like souls of the deceased with their deformed hands reaching up out of hell.

These visuals all give me very "witch hunt" and "bad omen" vibes, there's what looks to be people with demon horns and we know that Uika is associated with devil imagery that's in line with her role in the story as dragging Sakiko in to hell with her

They hid the guillotine motif in plain sight in episode 1 and there's many more interesting visuals that appear in this montage of their play

So I've been thinking way too hard about Ave Mujica as I caught up and have some schizo theories that read too deeply in to all the symbolism, lyrics and motifs.
