Instagram is slowly becoming my preferred and hope to expand use as books become published later. Fb is sparingly used for the same reasons as you mentioned. What else would be best for new authors approaching querying?

Spot on Anthony. I'm loving this site and have deliberately refused to engage with the other site. Not sure if a fledgling author should constrict oneself to a single micro blogging platform, but I'll risk it.
