Just a quick reminder that before these laws, the conflicts between workers and their employers tended to get bloody really quick. For students, history has many examples of what happens when they have no legal way to send a message to the institutions.

The current rules were a negotiated compromise that still favors the power in place. Do we really want to return to a time where students and unions had little to no influence on their environment. In the end, it will be costly and bad even for the elite that push against it.
