I agree. If left leaning voters were more active in the primary we could fix all of this. BUT we have to realize primarying centrists isnt about shitting on centrists, its about uplilting an alternative. Leftidts big pilrimary push in 2024 was 'undecided' which was bullshit.

They didnt drop support for marginalized people, they just tried to appeal to more people as well which is what you have to do to won and election. Its not a zero sum game. Dems reaching out expanding to the center does not mean theyre screwing over everyone else.

Trying to win an election in order to be able to help marginalized groups is not abandoning them. You really think focusing your entire campaign on the smallest possible groups is a good way to win a national election?

You'll find primarying them and replacing them with further left candidates difficult because 1) leftists dont run for office and 2) leftists dont vote. They dont participate at all they just bitch and moan about everyone else not doing enough.

How did they abandon marginalized groups? They shifted center right because thats who votes. Check the exit polls. Most american voters thought dems were too far left. They cant help marginalized groups if they focus so much on pandering they lose support from the majority of voters

Even if that description of dems wasnt absurd and false, if I really did have to choise between full trump and "trump lite", id do every thing i could to keep us from going full trump.

Theres a concept of picking your battles. If democrats treat every nomination the same just becayse theyre republican it normalizes the truly horrible unqualified noms. Obviously dems dont want republicans leading the gov but thats what happens when voters elect republucans

Then don't renominate them. Find primary challengers you support and go all in on supporting them. Then when the primaries are over get to work on doing everything you can to make sure whatever dem was picked beats the republican

Democrats responsibility is to vote on bills. Thats their job. It's the media's job to present information to the public, paint the picture and set the narrative. Thats what the media is for. When you post about politics on social media, you become the media, you make it your job

If preserving the very existence of our democracy & their own basic human rights wasnt enough to vote for in 2024 no policy position ever will be. It's not a policy problem, it's a propaganda problem. They don't know how imperative it is Dems win because we're too busy attacking dems to tell them.

OK. If Republican voters are lost causes and Democrat voters are already on board then obviously your target should be undecided voters or people who didn't care to show up. How do you think constantly pointing out flaws in democrats but never republicans will effect those people?
