How about just taxing them on the same basis as everyone else?
Aren't we all special cases?

Fully agree that doctors should be given restorative pay on the understanding that everyone else has their pay restored too.

What appears to undermine the mechanism on tracking how much is earned and the cut off limit for receipt of the allowance is that a perfectly good system is in place for the working family payment (WFP) which is able to adjust payment each month automatically reviewing earnings.

Private Eye's relentless reporting and Hislop's confrontation of Welby have laid bare both the crime and the Church's willingness to collude in this tragedy for some time now.
Welby lives, as do many in his feudal like organisation, with a deluded sense of righteousness.
Horrifying.

Not seeing much difference between Russia and the States these days.
Next stop troops on the ground in (oil rich) Venezuela.

Tax payer and small suppliers hit last time and yes I appreciate his holding company bore the brut but hey you'd be stupid to do business on a limited liability with him
December 5, 2025 at 4:13 PM
Sorry please don't publish this kind of stuff . The place will be teeming with Americans better suited to the Cotswolds.

A little more pandering to right wing whinging
The PIP allowance is there to assist a person to gain or maintain employment .
To remove the assistance requires replacement with something else whether that's financial or otherwise.
December 4, 2025 at 7:50 AM
Yep but certain people still don't get it.
Have a good one
December 1, 2025 at 8:17 AM
The whole bloody thing not starting until the 20th of December at the earliest
December 1, 2025 at 6:09 AM
I believe it now features added sovereignty which was missing from the burgundy coloured nasty EU ones
Yeah right.

Definetly old school giant.
As a football fan I can say this was a guy much appreciated by supporters of other teams.
Love to his family
November 30, 2025 at 1:48 PM
Really?
Never likely to work anyway.
Do wonder at the point of waiting 14 years to govern, achieving a landslide in part due to lack of alternatives and then having the party implode rather than look for ways to succeed.
Andy can you not just focus on an NAO review of the Teesside banditry please?
November 29, 2025 at 3:00 PM
So true.
I have to wait until there's no one else in the feckin house
November 29, 2025 at 2:55 PM
What's the betting he goes to the European Court of Human Rights?
November 29, 2025 at 7:49 AM
And so it rolls on as once again anything connected with Corbyn descends into one debate about who they should nominate to decide on what should be on the agenda to elect someone to discuss possible issues for raising on a consultative basis.
For feck sake.

You do remember Brexit don't you.
Facts don't win any arguments so best point them in the direction of their carers and check that they are still taking their meds.
If they are stupid enough to hold these views then they are probably never willing to leave the world in which they inhabit.
November 28, 2025 at 6:04 AM
Why the hell would the Greens want this shambles on board.
They have all the usual appearance of wanting fame rather than doing anything positive for the electorate.

She implied that Leeds had won the league it but only because of the lockdown giving a breather between fixtures.
Some Leeds fans saw red and piled on.
She learned the hard way that football includes some unforgiving souls but I'd think that should have been no suprise given her rise in the game
November 27, 2025 at 4:39 PM
Yeah I get that.
A little bit of a lion's den.
No wonder so many choose not to get involved at all.
I do recall her faux pas at the time and her receiving as much hammer as a certain (male) ex Aston villa critic.
November 27, 2025 at 12:21 PM
N Farage's best mate telling us something we couldn't cate less about.
November 27, 2025 at 7:50 AM
The (unforgiveable) abuse from Leeds fans was a result of Ill judged comments she made.
Like many retired players who make the jump into media the gap in professional presentation is enormous and ill judged opinions come across in a half baked way.
I can only wish her well for the future
November 27, 2025 at 7:46 AM
Does remind me of the tory ad with pensioners sporting rolex watches.
Falls nicely into the bracket of
'We do need some people to pay more tax but not me'
Fully expect estate agents to start moaning that this will destroy house prices , yawn.
November 27, 2025 at 7:37 AM
That really depends on who the manager is .
Problem we have is Mr Farke hasn't cottoned on to do the same thing, get the same results theorem.
November 25, 2025 at 9:48 AM
Waiting for the nay sayers to come up with the excuses.
Great performance against the world no 2 team.
