Of all the crummy weeds that hitch a ride with potted nursery plants, I think I got a good one! Ipomoea lacunosa, the whitestar, white morning-glory, or pitted morning-glory. A native morning glory, yay! ❤️ Host plant for a moth called Emmelina monodactyla (the T-moth or morning-glory plume moth) 🌱

Trees are mostly removed and garage is now tarped, somewhat unconvincingly to my eyes. Everything is wobbly and yesterday more roof debris fell in. I dread what will happen next time it storms.

For my friends who aren't on FB, yesterday I shared what last Thursday's violent storm did to our house. 2 trees blew down & smashed our garage, obliterated a ton of plants & crushed the hood of our Ford Transit. Insurance processes are in motion, we are lucky it wasn't worse but lawd what a mess.

Hey Bluesky gardeners! A fallen tree in yesterday's violent storms obliterated many of my plants and landscaping. 😢 If I prune all the broken swamp milkweed plants where the stems were snapped in half, will they regrow this season? 🌱🦋🐛

I actually did not buy this in 1989, I got it in Richmond in '95- there was a tiny used music store near VCU, & it had a box of cassingles for 25 cents each. I bought a bunch! My memory is bad but I'm sure of this bcuz the cardboard sleeve is not trashed from living in my high school backpack.

Just had my first box turtle sighting of the season! 🐢 Yay! It was a pretty small female in a hard to photograph place, under prickly bushes (ouch⭐️). I did my best to get a photo so I could see the markings. It is the same female I photographed last July. 🥰 #boxturtle #northernvirginia

Apparently the group was assembled by two members of C&C Music Factory. It's fun for me to look back at the songs I liked on the radio and compare them to genres I gravitated towards when the world of music opened up much wider to me... in college and beyond. 💜
