This all goes back to Nixon. It was "independent media" who brought him down. The GOP decided that would never happen again. They went about buying up the media (and trying to impeach every Democratic president since then except -maybe - Carter, but I digress) and now they control the narrative.

You mention independent media. Which ones are those? Because whoever they are, they are drowned out by the well funded corporate media who are all in for trump.

The problem is, I'm not sure it will pass; certainly not after four years. We have opened the door to evil and it will be very hard to dislodge its tentacles. Especially with a weak-sauce opposition party.

All of this is great, but if they've found a way to hack elections, as they're boldly hinting, then it's all for naught unless we can foil them in that area.

It's a fact of life on social media that it doesn't matter how innocuous your post, or how hard you try to make your point clear. Someone, or several someones, will misunderstand you. They will take offense, put words in your mouth, and argue about something you didn't say.
