Yeah the roguelike comparison came to mind for me too. Room 46 is kinda like beating Mom once in Isaac- you did hit an ending and I can get stopping there if you're over it, but it's such a small piece of the game and so much of what I love about it comes after that

Not sure if it counts because it was in early access for a while, but Abiotic Factor. I generally don't like survival crafting games but I've been enjoying playing this one with a friend. I like the setting and it gives you more plot and direction than other ones.

I think the only big moment is getting to control DK at the very beginning. People's enjoyment of the game seems to really hinge on how satisfying they find it to climb around and smash things. (disclaimer: I like the game but I don't think it's anything special)
