Was Abram the original gamer? The Lord gave unto him a tedious fetchquest: "Bring me a heifer, a goat and a ram, each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon," then a darkness came over him? If this arc played out anything like in The Long Dark, I'd buy that.

This Bushmiller panel has been glimpsed by over 1 million people and counting thanks to a new video by Technology Connections: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEJp...

The only thing wrong with my bsky timeline is no one I follow seems to post about electronic music so I missed the new Aphex Twin. Thank you so much Mr. James and Mx. Warp for the yuletide acid.

Autechre also treated audiences to glimpses of a root of their aesthetic (hip-hop) for those who don't know. I love these sets and can tell these sets will reward repeat listening and further comparison.

The end point of that horizon or however you might describe it was uniquely slowed and lengthened in Brussels. Not sure why this wasn't repeated elsewhere. Autechre opened with another version of this atmosphere in Lisbon.

One patch from Autechre's new live sets sound like it's accelerating into an event horizon before re-assembly. There were at least a half dozen variations in 2024. My favourite was played in Paris.

When I heard 'Ever New' by Sam Smith and Beverly Glenn-Copeland out of sequence, as a single, I couldn't figure out why such a beautiful rendition felt out of place. I needed to hear it close out TRANSA for its full weight to hit me.

Listen to TRANSA. This labour of love is an epic journey best experienced together. As much as I appreciated the singles published before release day those songs feel more natural in sequence. There's so much history and affirming artistry here without a note of artifice. Thank you, Red Hot.

Cooool. Have you tried anything like American Truck Simulator yet? It's oddly zen with mods for things like radio tuning across the states.

DJ Scotch Egg. I can’t think of any other competition.

Very nice of Disco Elysium devs to make a collage feature that gave me exactly what I wanted right out of the box.
