Lots of changes of narrators and perspective in fun and unexpected ways and constantly surprising the reader with what it keeps revealing itself to be. Both so much more and weirdly so much less than you expect in ways that really sit with you

Devil House by john Darnielle (yes the mountain goats guy) follows a true crime author writing about an unsolved satanic panic murder but serves more as a meditation on what counts as the truth and what truth is most important to get across. Very hard to describe but I read it in two sittings
