a wholesome thing happened a while ago when i was selling something to this woman who wanted to pick it up in person and since she found the thing i was selling to be too cheap, she gave me this kitten keychain that she'd made because 'she has adhd and can't fucking stop making these'

i made some drawings and learned how to do nails, this is my third set ever. it's SO relaxing. i don't even care about wearing nails, but making them is just very good for my brain (except when i get annoyed which is every 10 seconds it passes relatively & surprisingly quickly)! 🩸
A set of Castlevania the animated series themed nails. The colour theme is dark red, gold, black and this off-white colour. Most of them have either a moon, a bat or some gothic motif on them. I think my favourite one is this semi-transparent red nail - which... apparently this type of nail polish is called jelly. It gives it that stained class or... jelly effect. And it has like a fun spark on it and it's covered with gold chrome powder, making it glittery. And there is a red heart inside that spark.

Photos of Blaire the fluffy colorpoint cat taken years apart. The first one is from her first or second night in her forever home, she's 3 months old. Her fur pigmentation hadn't developed well yet, she was tiny, skinny, not as fluffy, and she looked rather shy and uncertain. She's just there, sitting politely on her grandma's bed. The second photo is from a few days ago, at almost 5 years old. Blaire is now a big, majestic, fluffy kitty with full cheeks. Quite unrecognisable, but appears more confident and present.

So essentially these are to packets with shake powder. Like, you mix the powder with milk and you get a shake. Bit these are not any shakes, they have The Penguins of Madagascar on them! One packet is green and the flavour is kiwi, banana and passion fruit, and the other one is orange and it is mango, orange and pineapple flavour, and both have popping candy in them! Unfortunately, these have no flavour whatsoever. Huge disappointment.

They apparently failed to get ANYONE to work with him, both regarding his problems connected to his autism, as well as any sort of therapist... Cause i'm not adopted, but I do think that when adoptees say adoption always equals at least some trauma, they must be right. And it's especially bad when you are taken from your culture to a completely different world by people who do not even speak your language :( Apparently finances were the reason why they did not get him help, although they OBVIOUSLY did not struggle financially. I mean, they literally funded the adoption process thanks to fundraisers in the first place and they received thousands of dollars each month thanks to their channel. So even if there is truth to this and he was having behavioral issues, they are to blame for not providing him with any tools to make communication easier. I'd occasionally stumble over their videos before the truth came out, and I remember that after seeing a few, I went from 'how sweet!' to 'something is off here'. They excluded him from activities, there was a very clear distinction between how they treated him vs their bio kids. Luckily, the boy now has a new family and his mom (?) is a proper medical professional :) He apparently is thriving and has made huge progress speaking (he was/is non-verbal). I am glad they returned him to the system (what a terrible thing to have to say... 'return' is an ugly word in this context) and he was given a new chance but dear god, their motivation was never pure. Can't even say she had saviour complex, she just really wanted a disabled child from china so that people could admire her and just monetised every bit of that child's tragedy. She also apparently was a nurse at one point but lost her license after assaulting a pregnant patient. My heart breaks for that boy but I am so relieved he is happier now. I hope he has access to all sorts of professionals and that his family takes care of helping him understand his culture.
