I just can't get over this mindset that is fundamentally anti-human, to believe that the concept of dialog in a game is so unimportant as to delegate it to a machine lacking sapience.
It's not even like it's being replaced with visual communication, only algorithmic strings of text.

Dialog is fundamentally one of the most important tools humanity has ever used and evolved with to become successful as a species. Communication–not just verbal, but interindividual communication of any kind–is unequivocally the most important thing that ever happened to humanity.

When I switched to using "my husband" at work I didn't bother explaining it to anyone because I knew that if anyone acted up about it not having to say "wife" or "spouse" was a benefit that far outweighed people's potentially weird reactions and it made both him and me happier.

The fact that they can't even show anything compelling for investors is pretty telling because there's 10,000 ways a bad actor could cook their proverbial books and they just... Didn't.

There's so much nonsense lingo abstracted from the actual exchange of services and billing that it could very easily be obfuscated through either incompetence or malicious intent. Parsing what is real and what is financial engineering is incredibly arcane.

I recently started working on some finance software as part of a new project having only done Healthcare software previously. I quickly learned that finance & accounting people have a difficult time conveying what they even do or need for stockmarket reporting

From everything I've ever read, seen or heard from cloud architects, moving between cloud providers is a near intractable problem with titanic overhead unless the design and code ownership was *very* intentional. Renting compute, while useful in the short term, will chew margins further and further
