So can't you leak them if they are trying to do away with the department anyways? What's Elon, a private citizen, going to do? Nothing but pout. They aren't complying with federal orders, don't comply with a wannabe god.

Their "government career" is as good as gone by standing around doing nothing and letting the terrorists persist. Musk has hackers, he doesn't need employees to remember anything. The Civil Rights movement worked because people were willing to fight, be arrested, etc.
