This card is just for kix… literally. Here is a video of Jared letterpress printing greeting cards in a mix of green and opaque white rubber base ink. This press run involved printing 40 cards using a 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press.

February 17th this year is Presidents’ Day! For today, Jared letterpress printed an image from a halftone of the first 25 presidents from George Washington to Teddy Roosevelt. This cut was made about 115 years ago and it is from the Bill Skarles Collection.

On Feb. 15, 1820, Susan B. Anthony was born. She was an American social activist, abolitionist, and women's rights activist who was one of the most visible leaders for the suffrage movement. For Susan’s birthday, Zoey letterpress printed 1 of her favorite quotes by the suffrage leader.

On January 24, 1848, James Marshall found gold at Sutter’s Mill. This would lead to the CA Gold Rush and Sacramento grew as the closest major city to the gold fields.

Even while letterpress printing with our jobbing press, Howard has jokes. On January 18, 1779, Peter Mark Roget was born. He is the author of the “Thesaurus,” which was published in 1852.

Ever since, the thesaurus has helped people find synonyms while writing. It even helped us with this joke.
