#wedonotcareclub member reporting on the current state of my house. I do not care that I had taken off my glasses to lay on the couch. Got up to do something and grabbed another pair of glasses so I could see. Then laid back down and put the second glasses on top of the first glasses.

Happy gotcha day to the very best cats a human could ask for. 8 years ago these two came home with me after spending more than a year in the Teton Country Animal Shelter. They've been taking good care of me ever since. I love you Pete the Cat and Millie Grace the Brave and Talented!

For giving Tuesday I finally paid Casper Community TNR for my cat shelter. During the shutdown I volunteered with them to make shelters. They let me take one home. I've got two cats that I hope have homes, but spend time in my yard. One cat even goes in my barn. #TNR #communitycats #givingTuesday

Yesterday was Frida Marie's 3 year gotcha day! We've come a long way since she was an unspayed bun left in a carrier outside the vet office. Last time I trimmed her nails she actually enjoyed a few pets before she remembered she's doesn't like people to touch her. #bunnymom

I finally finished the cat warmer cover! The cover it came with was gross and falling apart after just one winter. This was much easier once I got the walking foot for my sewing machine. #sewing #tabbycat

Feral and/or locked out cat shelters are deployed. Of course since I contacted the #TNR group I haven't seen the two cats I emailed about. The chickens ran quality control on the new bale of straw I brought home. Straw is the recommend outdoor cat bedding and the partial bale we have was wet.

This is what happens when you're trying to level a raised bed and you have chickens. They need to inspect every shovel of soil for tasty critters. It takes twice as long but it's twice as cute.

I had some random, uneven, and cracked concrete slabs in the backyard. Yesterday I decided to see if I could rip them out. Of course the chickens helped.

The beets did grow after all. I planted them while there was still snow last spring. I basically gave up on them this summer. We've had snow and it's below or close to freezing every night now.

Our little town in a big red state had 3 packed blocks of people standing up for democracy.
There was also a cat purrotest on the internet which Millie and Pete participated in from home.

The guy who rang me up at the hardware store said this was a weird assortment of things to buy. I've been working on shutdown projects for 17 days. These are the odds and ends I needed to finish some projects and start new ones.

Shutdown projects day 16: did not put up a shelf because the drywall anchors were bad, worked on insulating around the air conditioner, wrapped and mailed niece's b-day gifts, dentist fit my night gaurd, got new anchors and a cart, and put together the cart so I can move the plants inside easily.

Shutdown projects day 15: baked bread, put down more cardboard mulch in the yard, and added some additions to the Egglu. The girls got a second perch and I reinforced the run with more metal clips.
