The “are you an owl or a lark” question re: early riser or stay up late doesn’t fit my life. I’m very much a dormouse. I get up late, go to bed early & spend my waking hours inside a teapot (metaphorically).

The effect of this is that you become detached from what I can only describe as the main highway of society & instead retreat to those things that need no discussion but just ‘are’. For me this is music, nature, art, peace & relaxation. Increasingly to the exclusion of everything else.

One of, and probably the main frustration of getting older is that the wisdom you accumulate can’t be accepted because society in general moves too fast & is focused too much on itself. Therefore valuable lessons are lost & mistakes are doomed to be repeated.
